Grippity recently announced the “world’s first” transparent tablet and is available for purchase in KickStarter from as low as USD$159.
At the core of the tablet is the idea of applying a bilateral transparent touch surface. Grippity has a 7-inch semi-transparent LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (or 4.4 if available by then) and has 4GB internal storage capacity.
To start production is necessary to collect 199,000 dollars. In case of success, the tablet should be on sale in October 2014.
